What is LunaLab?

We are a team of Europe's leading sleep doctors who are breaking new ground by allowing comprehensive sleep measurement in your own home. Using a small, easy-to-install device, your sleep is measured and analysed in your own bed. The data is transmitted online to LunaLab and analysed, in a completely relaxed, non-clinical atmosphere.

Thanks to decades of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders and the use of state-of-the-art technology, we track down the problem that is depriving you of sleep in just two nights. We measure movements, track interrupted breathing and document moments of restlessness. We then present you with a treatment plan that is precisely tailored to your needs.

We want to help our patients sleep more soundly again, as it is becoming increasingly clear today how important restful sleep is for the many demands of our daily lives.

The LunaLab team

LunaLab is the brainchild of sleep doctors and somnologists (German Sleep Society; DGSM) Prof. Dr. med. Ulrich Sommer and Prof. Dr. med. Clemens Heiser. They met at the University Hospital in Mannheim, where they worked as doctors, together with Prof. Dr. med. Richard Birk. All three went on to work in one of the largest sleep laboratories in Europe under the direction of Prof. Dr. med. Joachim Maurer and Prof. Dr. med. Karl Hörmann.

Today, they are considered to be among the leading international sleep doctors. They have helped shape the national guidelines for sleep diagnoses and, given their long-standing university ties, have collaborated on numerous scientific projects in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders.
